The Outer Worlds is finally out and is has everything you’d expect from an RPG from the team behind Fallout: New Vegas. There’s a variety of weapons and you’ll be trying to improve them as you complete quests. So that you can get stronger in battle, here’s everything you need to know about how to install weapon mods in Outer Worlds.
Weapon Mods allow you to upgrade weapons that you are using. You’ll sometimes get them as quest rewards, as well as from looting enemies you defeat.
How to Install Weapon Mods in Outer Worlds
Once you’ve got one that you think is perfect for the weapon or armor you’re using, you just need to install it.
What you first need to do to install weapon mods is find a workbench. There’s one on your ship, but you’ll also always be able to to find one in every town you visit.
To find the exact location of a workbench in The Outer Worlds, check your map for a little wrench and hammer icon.
Once you’re there, you’ll first need to head to the Modify tab to install weapon mods. You then need to select the weapon or piece of armor that you want to upgrade.
Then, press X if you’re on PS4 (A if you’re on Xbox One) to install the mod you want. It’s important to note though that you cannot reverse the decision once you’ve confirmed the installation. You can overwrite a mod with a new one though.
