How to Grapple in One Piece World Seeker

Recommended Videos

One Piece World Seeker is the most ambitious One Piece game we’ve ever seen, letting players explore the brand new location of Jail Island, while meeting new characters as well. Considering it’s an open world game, One Piece World Seeker has a fair amount of traversal mechanics to help you get around the island quickly. Here’s how to grapple in One Piece World Seeker.

Before you can grapple, you’ll first need to play through the tutorial of the game, and after that the ability will be unlocked. As you’re running around the world of One Piece World Seeker, you’ll see triangular lock-on markers pop up on man-made surfaces, and this indicates that it can be used as a grappling point.

Just look at the point then press R1 (RB) to stretch out Luffy’s arm and have him grabble over to the point. This is your main way of getting around Jail Island quickly, and can be combined with other exploration abilities like Gum Gum Rocket.

Using It With Enemies

Luffy’s grapple can also handily be used to grapple to enemies in One Piece World Seeker, letting you then take them down with a close-range combo.

You’ll need to unlock this ability first, however, by opening your main menu and selecting the Skills menu. At the very bottom of the exploration section, you’ll see Lunge for 200 Skill Points, which will let you grapple to enemies.

The very next skill is Lunge+Body Bash for 300 SP, which will let you hit the enemy with devastating bash when you grapple to them in One Piece World Seeker.

It’s definitely worth investing in this ability, as it’ll make getting around combat areas much easier.

That’s pretty much everything you need to know about how to grapple in One Piece World Seeker. For even more tips, tricks, and info on the game, make sure to search Twinfinite or take a look at our guide wiki.
