Essentially, you can either get rich or create a lot of cool tech for your multi-tool, exosuit, and spacecraft with Technology Modules. But how do you get Technology Modules in No Man’s Sky NEXT without spending a fortune on the market?

If you’ve been playing No Man’s Sky for quite some time before the NEXT update, chances are you can easily get a sizable amount of Technology Modules. A number of your old equipment and items will be changed into Obsolete Technology. While this sounds heartbreaking at first, dismantling Obsolete Technology is actually an extremely fast way to get a good amount of Technology Modules. You can get around three Technology Modules per Obsolete Technology. Though take note, space pirates will likely attack your starship more often if you have heaps of Technology Modules.

At present, the only known way to acquire Technology Modules is by purchasing it in shops or dismantling Obsolete Technology. The patch notes for No Man’s Sky NEXT version 1.5 indicate that Technology Modules are buried underground and can be acquired by simply using the Terrain Manipulator. However, what you’ll get instead is Salvaged Technology.
