Is No Man’s Sky PS4 Pro Compatible?
With the release of No Man’s Sky’s NEXT update, the massive virtual universe also makes its way onto the Xbox One. That’s not the only big change, however, with a multiplayer mode a headline new feature of the update. Now, you’ll be able to fly around together, take on missions, build bases, and farm crops. There’s an absolute ton of content to check out in No Man’s Sky, and the NEXT update looks set to give us the game fans were expecting back when it initially released in 2016. However, back when No Man’s Sky initially launched, the PS4 Pro wasn’t even out on store shelves. As such, some players who are ready to jump back into the action may be wondering if No Man’s Sky is, in fact, PS4 Pro compatible.
Well, we have good news this time around, as the game makes full use of the PS4 Pro’s extra power. The compatibility with the 4K capable console came as part of the Path Finder update, and the performance on the system was subsequently improved with a patch mere weeks later.
As such, No Man’s Sky is now capable of outputting at 4K (rendering at native 1080p) and maintaining a 30fps minimum. If you’re more bothered about having a higher framerate than a 4K resolution, or you just don’t have a 4K display, playing No Man’s Sky on PS4 Pro runs at 1080p at a consistent 60fps, though it’s worth noting that in order to play the game like this, you need to actually change your system’s output settings itself, rather than within the game.
That’s everything you need to know regarding whether or not the game is PS4 Pro compatible. For more tips, tricks, and information on the game, be sure to check out our ever-expanding wiki.
