Unlocking the Skill

Backstabbing is actually a skill in Nioh 2 that needs to be unlocked via the Ninja skill tree. The skill you need to acquire is called Sneak Attack, and it’ll cost you one Ninja skill point to obtain.

In order to get Ninja skill points, you can use a couple of different methods. You can either use an item known as Ninja’s Locks to immediately gain a skill point, or regularly use Ninja items in battle such as bombs until you earn a skill point.
