If you’re looking to upgrade every weapon to its maximum level in Nier Replicant, then you’ll need to figure out how to gather some of the rarest materials in the game. This is easier said than done, though, as many of these materials only drop from specific enemies under certain conditions. That’s why we’re here to lend you a hand with a guide on how to get Memory Alloy in Nier Replicant.
Before going any further though, it’s worth noting that you won’t be able to make use of the following information unless you’ve reached the second half of the game. If you haven’t reached this point yet, move your focus toward story progression for a bit and then come back to this task.
How to Get Memory Alloy in Nier Replicant
The only way to get Memory Alloy in Nier Replicant is to defeat the giant robot enemies in the Junk Heap’s B2 level.
They’ll only spawn in the big square rooms found in the far corners of the map, and can be tricky to defeat if you aren’t a high enough level. On top of this, Memory Alloy is a rare drop item for them, with Titanium Alloy dropping from them far more often.
At the same time though, they’ll reappear in their designated areas each and every time you re-enter the area, meaning you’ll have infinite chances to farm them. Likewise, you can increase your chances of getting some Memory Alloy from them by equipping Words of the Mah line to your equipment to increase Item Drop Rate.
What Memory Alloy Is Used for
As for what you can do with Memory Alloy in Nier Replicant, it is used for two different purposes.
The first, as mentioned earlier, is for upgrading weapons. These include weapons like the Iron Will, which you obtain from the Junk Heap Weapon Upgrade shop.
They’re also needed to complete side quests like Contract for a Contractor, and can net you a hefty monetary reward when exchanged for this purpose.
