Aeternum is an enormous island, and while traveling on foot is fine and dandy at the very start of your adventure, you won’t want to be traipsing to and from your quest objectives once they begin spanning the entire landmass. So, here’s how to fast travel in New World.
How to Fast Travel in New World
Fast travel in New World can only be done from specific landmarks; namely, anywhere inside a Settlements and/or any Shrine that you come across while out exploring. But before you select a location to actually fast travel to, you need to have first visited that destination before it is unlocked as an option.
Assuming you are both at an appropriate location and are selecting somewhere you have unlocked, then fast traveling is just a case of opening your map, selecting the location you want to go to, and then clicking the fast travel option that appears on the map.
You should note, though, that fast travel isn’t free. It costs Azoth, a currency you collect from completing quests, and so the expense won’t always be viable if you’re a new player and you’re trying to save pennies. Unfortunately, there is quite a bit of legwork during the early stages of the game that is unavoidable. Still, use this time to familiarize yourself with the map, and make sure you loot and fight everything you come across to gain experience.
That does it for how to fast travel in New World. For more tips and guides on the game, be sure to check our guide wiki.
