Where to Find Umbreon in New Pokemon Snap

Umbreon can be easy to miss in New Pokemon Snap, as it appears near the end of the Ancient Ruins area during your second time there. Likewise, it’ll appear in the area’s Illumina Spot, meaning you won’t have access to it unless you hit every Crystabloom Flower in the area with an Illumina Orb.

If you haven’t been able to spot every Crystabloom Flower in this area yet, we’ve got a guide that can help you out here.

Head into the Ancient ruins area, and make sure to hit every Crystabloom Flower with an Illumina Orb to gain access to the route’s Illumina Spot. Once there, keep an eye out for a ledge toward the end of the course. You should see an Umbreon sleeping on the ledge, and you’ll have some time to photograph it before the course ends.

How to Get High Quality Umbreon Photos

A photo of Umbreon sleeping may not make for the best possible photo though, or at least that’s what you may think based on your experiences with several other Pokémon.

Fortunately, Umbreon isn’t so complicated. In our experience, throwing Fluffruit or playing a melody didn’t affect it in any way. As such, the basic photos of it without trying to change its behavior are some of the best you can get of it.
