While MyCareer is a mode that features a lot of customization, you’ll still be hitting the court with the same gameplay as you will in the likes of MyTeam. Therefore, you’ll still be challenged by opposition attackers and will have to get the difficulty right for you.
How to Change MyCareer Difficulty in NBA 2K21
The first thing you need to note is that you cannot do so before you’ve completed the Prelude section of the mode. Your character will have to make it to the NBA proper before you’re able to alter any of the settings.
You’re able to skip right to the NBA Draft by selecting the Neighborhood option in MyCareer, which will get you close to being able to change MyCareer difficulty in a short period of time.
Once you’re there, go to the Options tab in the MyCareer menu, then select Settings, then change the difficulty to whatever you want it to be, whether that be making the matches easier or more difficult.
The difficulty options you can choose from are Pro, All-Star, Superstar, Hall of Fame, ordered from easiest to hardest. From that point in the game, after the Prelude, you’ll be able to change MyCareer difficulty as and when you want to.
