While the actual NBA players in NBA 2K20 are great, there’s no better feeling than beating them with your very own character. If you’re looking to get your character drafted in the first round, you’re going to need to put in some work, just as any professional basketball player would. Here’s how to get drafted in the first round in NBA 2K20.
How to Get Drafted in the First Round in NBA 2K20
After you create your character and begin your MyCareer play through, you’re going to need to start working toward a first round draft immediately.
There will be a number of different training sessions that take place throughout the preludes. You might want to skip through these but you need to take them seriously as they’ll affect your draft placing.
For full in-game scrimmages, you’ll want to average at least a B in order to raise your stock. The closer you get to the draft, you’ll be able to see what your current draft round is as well as the salary (VC) you’ll be gaining throughout your career.
Alongside the in-game scrimmages, you’ll have the draft combine and the tryouts to raise your stock. At the combine, getting three stars on the tests will raise your stock.
Don’t worry too much if you do badly on some of them, as in our efforts, we placed last on the bench press and some of the other sections but did well on the others and still placed first.
For the tryouts, you’ll pick between three teams to do workouts for. With each of these, you’ll be graded for finishing, shooting and playmaking. Not only does doing well for each of these raise your stats in each section, it also makes your stock rise.
Because you want your stock to be as high as possible before the draft, it’s important that in everything you do, you attempt to see your stock increased.
Here’s a step by step breakdown of how to get drafted in the first round in NBA 2K20.
- In the prelude training sessions and full in-game scrimmages, try your best to come out on top.
Everything you do leading up to the draft has a direct correlation to your draft placement.
- Use the combine and tryouts to increase your stock.
Your stock is what determines your placement so you should be trying to raise your stock at every possible opportunity.
- Keep an eye on your stock, salary and draft placement.
Throughout your journey, you’ll be able to check where you’re currently placed in the draft. Work to get that placement to draft round one.
