Nailing free throws is essential in NBA 2K19, especially in MyCareer as you definitely want to maximize your character’s playtime on the court and make sure that every shot counts.

Unlike other attributes, however, free throws can’t be increased by splurging thousands of VC on your MyCareer character. It takes time and dedication to upgrade your free throw attribute. So, how do you upgrade your free throws in NBA 2K19?

The free throw attribute can only be increased by leveling the Free Throw Ace badge, and reaching each tier will increase your free throw rating.

Badges in NBA 2K19 can be leveled up by successfully performing its respective activities.

Upgrading the Free Throw Ace badge is less troublesome compared to the other badges, as you can level this up by playing the game normally.

To level the Free Throw Ace badge, you simply need to nail some free throw shots in any match with your character in MyCareer.

You can opt to make contact dunks and layups if you want to have more free throw opportunities in the court so you can level your badge faster.

Understandably, you can’t expect to get fouled as many times as you want in a single game of NBA 2K19.

Because of this, it is highly recommended that you hit the practice facility in the Neighborhood and run some free throw drills.

Simply select the Free Throw Ace badge in the facility to start the free throw activity. The higher your score, the faster you can level your badge.

Take note that you can only do four practice drills after each official MyCareer match, so make sure to hit the practice court after each game.
