The ambitious multiplayer, medieval focused melee combat game, Mordhau, has finally released on PC and it is proving to be pretty popular. Not only does it sport standard multiplayer modes but there is a 64 player battle royale mode included. You may be wondering, though, if the game is due to come to other platforms. Here’s everything you need to know about if Mordhau is coming to the Nintendo Switch.
Is Mordhau Coming to Nintendo Switch? Answered
As of the time of writing, Mordhau is not due to release on Nintendo Switch. The game only came to PC on April 29 and while the game is proving to quite popular, the small team of developers want to see if there is demand for a console port before they begin work on one.
Don’t be too disheartened though, because Triternion hasn’t hasn’t ruled out the possibility of Mordhau coming to Switch.
Over on a thread on the game’s subreddit from a fan asking about whether the game will get a console release or not, the Community Manager had the following to say on the issue:
“So we have to see how well Mordhau does on PC first; if we have the resources and the demand for console ports post-release, we’ll definitely look into it.”
Essentially, the more people that support the game now that it is on PC, the more likely we are to see a Switch port. The Switch’s low power, in comparison to the PS4 and Xbox One, may be a stumbling block too.
How long we’d have to wait though, we don’t know, but we’ll be sure to update you here if and when the news of a Switch version of Mordhau is announced.
