How to Use the Melding Pot in Monster Hunter: World
Monster Hunter: World is Capcom’s latest entry in the hunting series, stepping things up with bigger monsters and stunning visuals. Moreover, the game includes a handful of new mechanics to take advantage of, such as the slinger or the melding pot. Once you unlock the huge cauldron, you have a pretty good tool that comes with some useful items. Here’s what the melding pot does in Monster Hunter: World.
Once you complete the Coral Highlands quests in Monster Hunter: World, you’ll come across the melding pot which grants you some points in exchange for materials. Basically, this acts as some sort of “recycling” machine that will eat up any items you don’t need into the pot, melting them down into melding points. These points basically act as another form of currency, similar to the research points in Monster Hunter: World, which you can use to purchase some new items from the melding pot. To melt items, simply approach the Elder Melder at the facility and give him any items you won’t need or use. The melding pot is hard to miss since it’s literally a huge cauldron sitting right at the base. From there, he’ll get straight to work and deliver your melding points once he’s finished.
Some of the items you can purchase from the pot in Monster Hunter: World include Mega Potions, Max Potions, Nulberries, Catalysts, Lifepower, Herbal Powder, and more. Take note, however, that each item does require a specific amount of points, and the rarer the item, the more points you’ll have to spend. Needless to say, you shouldn’t dump any valuable items you’ll need into the Melding Pot since you won’t get them back.
That wraps it up for the melding pot in the game. For more tips and tricks on Monster Hunter: World, make sure to search through our expansive wiki.
