How Long Iceborne is

For our review playthrough of Monster Hunter World Iceborne, we spent roughly 40 hours working our way through its main story content and a plethora of side-quests and have yet to finish the story.

Obviously, the exact amount of time is going to vary given that this is an online experience you’ll likely be playing with friends. A playthrough in which you really take your time could be twice ours, and likewise, you could beat the story content much sooner if you make a beeline through the main quests.

New Monsters

As you’d expect, most of Iceborne’s quests revolve around killing the newly introduced monsters that are scattered across the beautiful snowy expanse of Hoarfrost.

During our playthrough, we encountered 17 new monsters, both large and small. These are as follows:

  • Tigrex
  • Cortos
  • Nightshade Paolumu
  • Popo
  • Coral Pukei-Pukei
  • Anteka
  • Barioth
  • Banbaro
  • Beotodus
  • Brachydios
  • Glavenus
  • Ebony Odogaron
  • Fulgur Anjanath
  • Nargacuga
  • Velkhana
  • Viper Tobi-Kadachi
  • Shrieking Legiana

It should be noted that this list is not exhaustive. There are a couple of monsters that we have yet to fight in Monster Hunter World Iceborne, but we’ll be sure to keep this updated moving forward as we discover more.

That should give you everything you need to know about how long Iceborne is and how many monsters there are. For more useful tips and guides on the game, be sure to check out our extensive wiki-page.
