Due to how underwhelming the Dragunov’s damage is, the HDR and AX-50 are the only snipers anyone really uses in Modern Warfare and Warzone, but it seems like a new option will be coming sometime during Season 4. So that you can try out the new sniper in matches, here’s everything you need to know about how to get the Rytec AMR in Modern Warfare and Warzone.
The Rytec AMR was revealed by Infinity Ward at the start of Season 4 and it might be recognisable to older Call of Duty fans. From the image that Infinity Ward shared, it seems like it will be a new version of the old Barrett .50 Cal sniper from the prior games in the Modern Warfare sub series.
How to Get Rytec AMR New Sniper in Modern Warfare & Warzone
As of the time of writing, you cannot actually get the Rytec AMR in Modern Warfare. Infinity Ward confirmed that it will be coming to the game sometime during Season 4. As you can see from the image below, some of the mid-season additions have already arrived, such as the Gaz operator.
Exactly when the Rytec AMR will be added is unknown, but it’s possible that it comes alongside a Grau nerf in the mid-season update. Of course, we’ll update you as soon as Infinity Ward reveal when it’s out.
Also, it’s not clear how you’ll unlock it. It’s be difficult for IW to add it to the Battle Pass, as they did with the Fennec, so you’ll either get it without having to do anything or as a reward for completing a challenge.
Since Infinity Ward generally want the new weapons to be available to most players, you probably won’t have to do much to unlock the Rytec AMR. With Season 4 due to end in just over a month’s time, you shouldn’t have too long to wait for a new sniper option.
