Call of Duty Modern Warfare (2019) has just released on PC, PS4, and Xbox One bringing a blockbuster campaign, Spec Ops co-op missions, and the classic fast-paced Multiplayer. With Multiplayer often being many players’ main focal point, the series is always making tweaks and adding things to make the mode feel fresh. This year, Infinity Ward added Night Mode maps. Problem is, Modern Warfare’s Night Maps have already hit a stumbling block.

Everything You Need to Know About Night Maps in Modern Warfare

Update: Modern Warfare’s Night Maps can now be played in the ‘NVG’ playlist that appears underneath ‘Quick Match’ on the Multiplayer screen.

Unfortunately, at this moment in time, night maps have been removed from the game. Initially, night maps were randomly thrown into the rotation, meaning players could play any mode on either a day or night map depending on what the game decided to choose next.

The choice to remove Modern Warfare’s ‘Night Mode’ actually came very early on launch day (Oct. 25). Infinity Ward tweeted out informing players that the night maps had been removed from rotation and would get their own separate playlist at a later date.

Currently, Infinity Ward has yet to announce when the new playlist with Modern Warfare’s night maps will return to the game, but as soon as we hear anything, we’ll be sure to update this post and let you know.

Why Are Modern Warfare’s Night Maps Getting Their Own Playlist?

Chances are, it’s because of the fact that playing in near-complete darkness completely changes up how many people play the game, and the loadouts they use.

It, therefore, makes more sense to separate them into their own playlist to allow players to tweak their loadouts specifically for these maps before they dive into them. This saves the hassle of having to frantically change loadouts between matches, or if you just dislike the night maps, now you can just ignore them entirely.

That’s everything you need to know right now regarding Modern Warfare’s night maps. We’ll update this post as and when there’s word on the new separate playlist for the night mode.
