As you venture into the Deep Dark biome, you may notice odd-looking plants that light up when you’re nearby. These blocks are known as “Sculk Sensors,” a mechanism that awakens the forceful Warden. So, how do you get and use these sensors in Minecraft? Let’s dive in to help you understand everything about this new feature.
How to Get a Sculk Sensor in Minecraft
You can find the Sculk Sensor in the Ancient City within the Deep Dark biome. Their blue appearance looks somewhat like a plant and will illuminate when you are near it. Use a Night Vision potion or place torches to have a clearer view of the area. If you want to obtain this special block, you can mine it with any tool as long as you have a Silk Touch enchantment (a Hoe is the quickest method.) They are also found within Ancient City chests.
How to Use a Sculk Sensor
The Sculk Sensor detects vibrations of players’ movements and sends a Redstone signal to the Sculk Shrieker. This block can summon the Warden, the protector of the mysterious area. If you walk around the sensor’s vicinity (at least nine blocks), it will light up and emit wavelengths to the Shrieker.
Players can unleash the Warden by activating the Sculk Sensor and Sculk Shrieker four times. Make sure you prepare for this event since the beast is powerful. Players are advised to run away or wear enhanced armor for better defense.
You can avoid the Sculk Sensor’s detection by crouching to sneak past it. Players can prevent this further by placing wool around it to cut off the connection.
Now that you know how to get and use Sculk Sensors, you can acquire them in the newest biome. If you want to learn more about Minecraft’s The Wild Update, check out our guide on how to make Allays dance. Be sure to explore the relevant links below for additional content on the game.
