As you make your way through Minecraft Dungeons different levels through canyons, swamps, and of course, dungeons, you’ll inevitably get better weapons and armor to replace what you’ve currently got equipped. But what should you do with those low-level, redundant bits of gear? In this guide, we’ll talk you through how to salvage gear in Minecraft Dungeons and what it does.
Salvaging gear in Minecraft Dungeons allows you to remove an item from your inventory in return for some emeralds. Every weapon or bit of armor you’ve got will reward you with emeralds, the amount varying depending on how rare or high-level it is.
On top of receiving emeralds (which can be spent getting a randomly rolled bit of gear or artifact from the Blacksmith and Traveling Trader at your Camp respectively), you’ll also receive back any enchantment points you’ve spent on that piece of gear.
That means if you’ve spent six enchantment points getting a weapon’s enchantment to level 3, you’ll get all six enchantment points back, allowing you to invest them in your new high-level gear.
