Minecraft Dungeons may switch up the gameplay from base Minecraft’s open-world creative sandbox into procedurally-generated co-op dungeon crawling, but they’re still set in the same universe. That means you can expect to see a number of iconic enemies and items make a return. This includes the Enderman, the dark ghostly beings that’d hunt you down as soon as you looked at them. In this guide, we’ll talk you through how to beat Endermen in Minecraft Dungeons.
Beating Enderman in Minecraft Dungeons
You’ll first come across an Enderman in the Soggy Swamp area not long after destroying the Cauldrons. When you first spot an Enderman, the screen will start picking up static to indicate one is nearby. They also tend to only appear in very dark areas, so if you’re in light you should be safe.
Endermen are incredibly easy to beat in Minecraft Dungeons if you know what to look out for. The first is when it’s going to attack. The Enderman will raise its arms above its head when it’s going to attack. You can dodge or sprint away when it does this to avoid taking damage.
The other main thing to keep in mind with Endermen is that they’ll frequently disappear as soon as you attack them. When it does disappear, use this opportunity to clear out any other enemies in the area. Once you’ve cleared those, it makes it easier to beat the Enderman as you can focus solely on taking it down.
It can take a while to beat an Enderman, but if you’re not too bothered about killing it you can always just run away. The same can be done for the Redstone Golems that you’ll encounter later on in the game.
