Spider-Man: Miles Morales, How to Save

Spider-Man: Miles Morales is far from the longest game out there, but it’s still sizable enough that you may end up needing to put it down for a bit before you finish the story. This can be stress-inducing if you don’t know whether your progress has been properly saved or not, so we’re here to help you make sure that doesn’t happen with a guide on how to save in Miles Morales.

How to Save in Miles Morales

There are a few different ways to save your game in Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

One is the manual option that can be accessed from the main menu. To use it, all you need to do is press the Options button, scroll down to the Manual Save option, and then select it by pressing the X button. Doing so will bring up your save menu, from which you can create a new file or save over an existing one.

This is the most concrete way to record your progress, as you’ll see for yourself when the save file is made. The file can’t be overwritten unless you choose to do so either, preventing any unforeseen losses of progress.

How to Trigger Auto-Saves

With that said though, Spider-Man: Miles Morales does auto-save, and you can trigger the function to save your progress at specific times.

Whenever you start a mission, reach a new section of a mission or complete a mission, the game will create an automatic, temporary file to act as a checkpoint. They aren’t infallible, and they’ll be overwritten by new checkpoints, but they’re still useful for documenting your progress in case of an accident.

That’s all there is to know about how to save in Spider-Man Miles Morales. For more on the game, check out some of our other guides on topics like how to get the Into the Spider-verse suit as well as some of its most recent trailers.
