How to Revive Orcs in Shadow of War

Recommended Videos

While out and about in the Middle-earth: Shadow of War world of Mordor, you’re going to be fighting a ton of orcs. During some battles, you might even have an orc buddy that’s helping you out, be it a captain or a bodyguard. They’re not invulnerable, though, and may even need your help! Here’s how to revive orcs in Shadow of War.

Whenever an allied captain is downed in battle, there will be a period of time they will be “bleeding” and you can revive them. During this time, they’ll be on their knees and begging for your help. If you don’t want them to get killed (or even come back as a vengeful betrayer), you’re going to want to quickly get close to them and hold down the same button you would usually use to dominate your enemies. This is either Circle on PS4 or B on Xbox One. Hold it down and a bar will fill, indicating you’re reviving them. If you get hit while you’re doing this, it will reset and you’ll have to restart the revive animation.

So, yes, it’s a pain in the butt if they were downed in the middle of a big fight. As I mentioned before, though, failing to revive orcs from their bleeding state will lead to their death or their inevitable return to seek revenge on their master.
