What Element Zero Is Used for in Mass Effect Andromeda

Recommended Videos

As you visit and explore the vast number of planets in the Andromeda galaxy you may have stumbled upon something called Element Zero. Chances are, though, that you’ve found this and are unsure exactly what you’re supposed to do with it. After all, it looks pretty shiny and expensive-looking, so you may even be tempted to just sell it.

Well, we’d advise against selling it unless you’re certain that you definitely don’t need it. Element Zero is actually an Ultra Rare crafting material that you’ll need to craft some of the weapons and gear in Mass Effect Andromeda. According to the official description in Andromeda, Element Zero “creates mass effect fields. It is the basis of much modern technology, including faster-than-light travel.

If you’re wondering where to find Element Zero in Mass Effect Andromeda, unfortunately, it’s not going to be an easy task to source. With it being ultra rare, it’s not going to turn up anywhere near as often as the likes of Iron or Fluorite. However, it’s worth noting that it can be detected via orbital scan and mined with Nomad. It can also be purchased from merchants if you’re really struggling to get your hands on it.
