How to Get More Armor in Mass Effect Andromeda
While the armor on offer in Mass Effect Andromeda doesn’t all offer crazy different designs, though there are some cool looking ones, you will find a need to change pieces based on different perks you can apply to your character. Higher defenses against certain damage types, boons to experience and accuracy, and other things of that nature.
To get more armor in the game you’ll first need to collect some Research Data (RD) points which we’ve guided for you here. These serve as a sort of currency you can use at R&D stations (like the one located on the Tempest) so that you can research and develop new gear, including new pieces of armor. You can also research and develop upgrades for gear you already have, which is also quite useful.
When you have the points you need, head to one of these stations and pick the gear or upgrade you want to research. Spend the points and you’ll develop it, allowing you to equip it and head out to your next mission well prepared.
You can also get more armor as rewards or through DLC, but this is the easiest way to ensure you get exactly what you want/need.
