Where to Find Liara in Mass Effect 2
If you romanced Liara, the first time you see her will actually be in the intro to Mass Effect 2. If not, it’ll take you a little while to get to her. Liara is on a planet called Illium, working as an information broker. You can visit her in her office on the planet once you complete the Horizon mission, which only becomes available after you recruit several new crew members.
Unfortunately, she doesn’t return to the Normandy to become a regular member of the crew again until Mass Effect 3. You can have a few short conversations with her on Illium, but that’s just about it until you start the Lair of the Shadow Broker questline.
Lair of the Shadow Broker was originally a Mass Effect 2 DLC, but now, it comes included in the Legendary Edition. Liara plays a huge role in this string of missions as you work alongside her to track down the Shadow Broker.
And of course, those who wish to maintain/continue their romance with Liara from Mass Effect 1 will have the chance to do so with some extra dialogue options in this sequel.
