What is Marvel’s Nova Project?

Anyone who has been paying close attention to the MCU, or has played Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy has a good knowledge of the Nova Corps, Xandar’s space militia and exploration division. Well, the superhero named Nova is the group’s de facto lead superhero.

The superhero known as Nova, real name aka Richard Rider, debuted back in 1976 in the comic book, The Man Called Nova #1, by Marv Wolfman. The character was just an ordinary teen before he was gifted superhuman abilities by an otherworldly alien.

With these new powers, which include flight, superhuman strength, speed, durability, and the power to absorb energy directed against him and release it as gravimetric pulses and beams, Nova does his best to help Xandar and the entire galaxy be rid of evil.

Currently, there is no release window for the project, nor has it been slated for a television or movie format at this time, though we do know that Moon Knight writer Sabir Pirzada is heading the project’s screenplay.
