Maneater is an open world RPG, but you’ll progress through certain sectors as you complete quests and level up. Getting around the world is generally nice and simple, but that’s not the case when trying to get to the second area. So that you can continue levelling up your shark, here’s everything you need to know about how to get out of Fatwick Bayou in Maneater.
After completing all the quests in the first area, which is Fatwick Bayou, you’ll be prompted to make your way to Dead Horse Lake, where you’ll activate all the quests at the grotto there.
When looking at the map as you try to get to the objective marker that’s quite far away, it seems like you need to go around via the Caviar Key area. However, once you get to what seems like its entrance, you’ll be blocked off by a huge gate that you can’t get past.

Thankfully, there is another way around, it’s just not very well signposted on the map. In fact, it’s not signposted at all unless you’ve found it by accident during your time in the sector.
On the Western edge of the Fatwick Bayou sector, you’ll see a little alcove, as you can see of the screenshot of the map we’ve included below.
You need to head to that little space and swim down a bit, where you’ll find a metal grate that you can break. Bite or tail whip the gate and it’ll break, allowing you to swim through it. Just keep swimming (thanks, Dory!) and you’ll find Dead Horse Lake.
It’s quite easy to get out of Fatwick Bayou in Maneater, it’s just difficult to work out where you do so.
