Madden 21: Is It Cross-Platform? Answered

madden 21 cross-platform

Madden 21 has finally arrived, bringing with it a whole host of new changes and game modes that will continue to iterate on the football simulation formula that’s done EA so well to this day. With ‘The Yard‘ bringing house rules football to Madden 21, too, there’s ample reason to dive into more multiplayer games with your friends and other players online. That might have some players wondering if Madden 21 is cross-platform.

Is Madden 21 Cross-Platform?

Unfortunately, Madden 21 is not cross-platform compatible. That means that you’ll only be able to play with and against players on the same console or platform as you.

For example, if you’re playing on Xbox One, you’ll only be able to play with other Xbox One players. It’s the same with PS4, and PC, too.

This was confirmed by an EA Community Manager over on the official EA forums for Madden 21.

In addition to this, Community Manager EA_Blueberry also confirmed that Madden 21 cross-platform play isn’t supported for next-gen consoles either.

That means that PS4 players won’t be able to play against PS5 players, and Xbox One and Xbox Series X players also will not be able to play against one another. Similarly, PC players will not be able to play against anyone playing on any of the consoles at all.

It’s disappointing to say the least, given Madden 21 will likely be one of the most popular multiplayer games across all platforms this year. Here’s hoping we’ll see more on cross-play for the Madden (and FIFA) series over the next couple of years.

For now, though, you’ll just have to stick with playing with those on the same platform as you.

That’s everything you need to know about Madden 21 cross-platform compatibility. For more tips, tricks, and guides, be sure to search for Twinfinite or check out more of our coverage below.
