Madden 20 has made some changes to the way Madden Ultimate Team works. Even for veterans of the mode, changes to the mechanics and UI can be a little confusing. One thing that’s not entirely clear is how to add the Master Trainer to your squad via Ultimate Trainer Tokens. Here’s what you need to know.
How to Get Ultimate Trainer Tokens & What They Do in Madden 20
What They Do
Ultimate Trainer Tokens are acquired by ticking off various mission challenges in the Welcome to Ultimate Team section. There are six to collect, and once you have them all you’ll trade them along with 12 Ultimate Trainers (which you also acquire while completing these missions) to earn an 85 OVR Master for your MUT squad.
How to Get Them
To get five out of the six tokens required to trade-in for a Master Trainer it’s really just a case of completing each of the 14 challenges within the Welcome to Ultimate Team mission. These are basically tutorial challenges.
When you’ve completed all the standard challenges a “The Masters” objective will appear with new objectives, which also needs to be completed.
The final token you need however, can only be claimed by reaching level 20. So if you’re wondering how you missed one after completing everything, don’t fret. You just need to level up a bit more. Go ahead and complete other challenges and missions until you hit 20 then you’ll get your final token.
At any time you can head over to the Missions tab, then go to Welcome to Ultimate Team to check what you still need to do.
The only “trick” to making sure you’re actually doing everything you’re supposed to when it comes to getting all these tokens is being thorough. Even once you have achieved each tier in the Challenges tab, you may have missions that still need completing by doing various objectives.
To turn them all in, to your Sets within the Team section, and then tab on over to Ultimate Trainer. From here you’ll be able to turn in all of your tokens and claim your reward.
