In Madden 19‘s franchise mode, you have ability to lead any team of your choosing to NFL dominance over the course of years and even decades. Especially if you’re playing in Owner mode, you have full control of all aspects of the team, including drafting players, setting the depth chart, stadium finances, and yes, the reason why you’re here, checking and signing free agent players.

Although most players, if they are good, are signed, there are occasionally players that do slip through the cracks and are able to be signed off free agency. This is especially true after the first offseason in your franchise where players may have not been able to come to terms with their original team, or any other team, and are still hanging around in free agency.

To check and sign players in free agency, go to the Manage section of your franchise. Then go to Improve Team. In here, you’ll see a few options for adding better players onto your team. You’re going to, obviously, opt for Free Agents. Here is where you can check who the Free Agents are and sign them if you wish. Keep in mind that the more experienced, and better a player is, the more expensive they are. There might be a good reason why these free agents aren’t signed and it could be because they are either A: getting old, B: too expensive, or C: just flat out not any good. But hey, if you want to take a flyer on 38 year old Antonio Gates, by all means don’t let us stop you.

That does it for how to check and sign free agents in Madden 19. Best of luck improving your team through free agents. For more Madden 19 guides and FAQs answered, be sure to check our Madden 19 wiki.
