Is Luigi’s Mansion 3 Open World?

We’re going to just come out and say that Luigi’s Mansion 3 is not an open world game by any means. Instead of exploring a huge open space with tons of things to do, you will be exploring dozens of floors of a towering hotel with lots of rooms and slightly larger open spaces such as a lobby or a parking garage.

You also won’t be able to explore the hotel fully at the beginning of the game as you’ll slowly unlock more and more elevator buttons to gain access to more floors and areas.

It’s a fairly linear experience where you will be guided towards specific locations with missions given to you by Professor E. Gadd.
