The Last of Us 2 has finally been released, and it continues the story of protagonists Joel and Ellie since we last left them at the Jackson community. You’ll still be fighting a ton of infected enemies, most of which you’ve encountered in the first game already. Here’s how to beat Stalkers in The Last of Us 2.
Beating Stalkers in The Last of Us 2
Stalkers were an enemy type that appeared in the original game, and they’re back and even more dangerous than before in the sequel. Unlike Runners, Stalkers make it a point to hide from you and pounce when you least expect it. To make things even worse, they can’t be detected via listen mode either, so you’ll have to rely on finding them manually.
The good news is that Stalkers will eventually run straight towards you once provoked. It’s possible to just sneak around an area and find them that way, but it’s a lot faster to make noise or cause distractions with a brick or bottle, and try to lure them in one direction. This lets you sneak up on them easier, or you could also run around the area to try to lure them to you.
Once a Stalker spots you, they’ll go straight for you like a regular Runner, and you can take them out easily with a shotgun blast. They’re much harder to kill with just Ellie’s switchblade, so if you’re hoping to melee them to death, make sure you have a melee weapon on you.
In addition to that, you can also place proximity bombs in the area surrounding you to kill the Stalkers as they approach you.
That’s all you need to know about how to kill Stalkers in The Last of Us 2. Be sure to check our guide wiki for more tips and information on the game.
