Xbox One Release Date for Kingdom Hearts III
After a long period of time as a PlayStation exclusive, the final chapter to the Xenahort saga, Kingdom Hearts III, will be making its way onto the Xbox One as well as the PS4. While details regarding the title’s release have been pretty sparse, Square Enix and Disney have finally shed some light on a release date for the highly anticipated RPG… well, more like a release window, and a very broad one at that.
At this year’s D23 expo, it was revealed that Kingdom Hearts III would be releasing some time during 2018. There was no specification on what month, quarter, or even season you could expect to reunite with Donald, Sora, and Goofy, but it’s better than the nothing we’ve received over the past few years. The broad release window is likely due to the fact that the game is still in development and the developers don’t want to make any grand promises they may be unable to keep. Still, you can expect a more solid release date for Kingdom Hearts III sometime in the coming months, and we’ll be sure to update you with that information once it becomes available.
For now, you’ll just have to patiently wait to dive into Kingdom Hearts III’s final chapter. For those not in the know, it picks up right after the end of Dream Drop Distance, and will see Sora and friends seek out the seven Guardians of Light while trying to thwart the advances of Xenahort and the 13 Darknesses. There will be plenty of twists as new information about certain characters surfaces. Man, we seriously can’t wait for a release date.
