How to Get Bonus Time & What it Does in Kingdom Hearts Dark Road

As you may already know, you can get a double damage bonus if the three cards you use in a turn are all the same color. You can even mix the dark and light versions of the cards (the ones containing Heartless images) as long as they’re the same color to get that double damage bonus.

But the more damage you deal, the closer you’ll get to being able to take advantage of Bonus Time. At the bottom of the screen, there’s a meter that’s right behind your hand cards. This will slowly fill up with the color yellow and then once it reaches the top you’ll enter Bonus Time.

It doesn’t even require any extra inputs to be activated. You’ll know Bonus Time is active because there will be flashing text above your hand of cards. During Bonus time you will be able to get the double damage bonus no matter what cards you play.

And this isn’t just like mixing light and dark cards. You can even play one green, one red, and one blue card to get the damage bonus. It’s your opportunity to dump a bunch of damage on the Heartless without worrying about the cards you’re playing.

Here’s a quick summary of how you can get Bonus Time in Kingdom Hearts Dark Road:

  1. Deal damage to enemies

This will build up your meter which will let you start Bonus Time.

  2. Wait for the meter to fill

Once the yellow in the meter reaches the top, then Bonus Time will automatically be activated.

  3. Unleash massive damage

During Bonus Time you can play any mismatching cards you want and still get your double damage bonus.
