How to Get Update 1.03 for Kingdom Hearts 3

Kingdom Hearts 3 has received yet another update in the days since its release, and as such most people are probably wondering how to get update 1.03 and what it does.

Luckily, there isn’t much to update 1.03 on either front. The update will trigger automatically when you boot up your PlayStation 4 or Xbox One so long as you have it connected to an internet source.

The update is only a few megabytes in size, so depending on your internet connection speed it should only take a few minutes to download.

Once it’s installed, the update adds a secret ending to Kingdom Hearts 3. This is in addition to the epilogue, and both have teases and interesting tidbits of information about the game’s ending and future for fans.

It’s anyone’s guess, and definitely something fans of the series need to see for themselves.

That said, update 1.03 only adds the secret ending as a potential unlock for those who earn it. After it has been successfully added, players will still need to track down every lucky emblem scattered across the game.

If you’re having trouble finding them all, we’ve compiled a guide with every emblem location to help you out.

Aside from that though, there’s not much more to update 1.03. There are no other noted features or changes to the game that people have found, and Square Enix hasn’t announced any firm changes made to the game by the patch.

All the same, it wouldn’t be a Kingdom Hearts game without a secret ending, so it’s still a welcome update to have.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is currently available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. For more on the game, check out our Kingdom Hearts 3 guide wiki for everything you could need to know about the long awaited title.
