Just Cause 4: Can You Change Character Appearance?

Can You Change Character’s Appearance in Just Cause 4?

Recommended Videos

Just Cause 4 is here and once again you’ll be taking on the role of Rico Rodriguez, a character who has a knack for destruction and can traverse the environment via wing-suit and grapple-hook. After installing the game to your PS4, Xbox One, or PC, you might be wondering about whether you can change your character’s appearance.

The first thing to mention is that Just Cause 4 is an action-adventure game, with a major emphasis on exploration, destruction, and over-the-top action sequences. It does not rely on player choice that you might find in many role-playing games.

The Just Cause series has always revolved around the protagonist, Rico Rodriguez, and unlike many games with fully customizable characters, Just Cause 4 does not support this feature.

Rico has a prominent voice, so it would be difficult to execute the same portrayal with a character you create, as many customizable characters are mute.

Additionally, it does not appear as though there is a way to change Rico’s outfit or costume, either. You’ll have to stick with the same outfit for the duration of the game.

You can, however, alter the appearance of your wing-suit, which let’s face it, is the real star of the show. To do so, press Options, choose Customize, and then you can pick from whichever skins you have available.

Parachute customization is available, as well.

There are many games that offer character creation and customization, but Just Cause 4 is not one of them. But that’s okay; you’ll still likely have a blast roaming the world and partaking in some wacky action.

That’s everything you need to know about whether you can change your character’s appearance in Just Cause 4. Have fun blowing everything up, just cause, and being a general nuisance for a 4th time.
