Jump Force brings together some of the greatest anime and manga legends of all time, duking it out in a frenetic fighting experience. Dragon Ball Z, One Piece, and Naruto are at the core of the game, and that applies to both story and gameplay. Here’s how to join a team in Jump Force.

How to Join a Team

Upon starting Jump Force, you’ll need to play through some opening segments before you make it to the Umbra Base, the main hub of operations for yourself and the Jump Force. Once you reach the base you’ll be introduced to the three different teams: Alpha, Beta, and Gamma. These are led by Goku, Luffy, and Naruto respectively.

After talking to all the everyone you’ll need to join one, but the game doesn’t make it clear just how you do that. What you need to do is head to the south, to the Command Center like area, and talk to Director Glover. He’ll then ask you to choose a team to join in the Jump Force.

If you’re really having trouble finding Glover, just hold down triangle (Y) to bring up your map. Glover’s location will be the red exclamation point.

Which Team Should You Join?

Deciding which team to join in Jump Force isn’t actually as big of a deal as you might think. It really only affects the start of the game, and can be thought of the same way that Pokemon Go’s teams are, mostly aesthetic.

The one you choose will affect the abilities you start with, for instance, if you choose Naruto’s group you’ll start with mostly Ninja abilities like Rasengan and Fire Jutsu. However, you’ll be able to purchase any ability you want with gold, so your choice doesn’t restrict you at all.

Additionally, no matter which you choose you’ll be able to visit each area, use their shops, and play through the same missions. The other thing that your team affects is the ranking in each “season.”

As you play you’ll earn Active Points that compile into your team’s pool. At the end of a season, the team with the most points gets a reward. At the end of the day, you can really just pick which of three is your favorite.

That’s everything you need to know about how to join a team in Jump Force. For more tips and guides make sure to search Twinfinite, or you can take a look at our Jump Force wiki.
