Journey to the Savage Planet on Nintendo Switch – What You Need to Know

Let’s get the bad news out of the way. Journey to the Savage Planet is not releasing on Nintendo Switch when it first launches on Jan. 28 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

There is some good news, though. Speaking on the Game Informer podcast, developer Typhoon Studios’ Creative Director Alex Hutchinson said “If we could ever get a Switch version together, I think it would be brilliant to have the two people next to each other, so we’re looking into it.”

Speaking further on the topic during the podcast, Hutchinson stated that the team was “still figuring out how to handle” Journey to the Savage Planet on Nintendo’s handheld, so it might be a little while until we see it.

To further confirm Journey to the Savage Planet’s Switch port, it was recently revealed that the ESRB updated its listing for Journey to the Savage Planet, adding Nintendo’s handheld hybrid to the list of platforms.

As such, while it might not be releasing on Jan. 28, 2020 like the PS4, PC, and Xbox One versions, Journey to the Savage Planet does look like it’ll be coming to the Nintendo Switch, just a little bit down the line.

Once there’s anymore news to share with you on the Switch port, we’ll be sure to update this post and let you know.
