Everything you need to know about the mighty Red Dragons in FIFA 23!

Wrexham AFC came into the limelight when in November 2020, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney bought the Welsh football club. Is Wrexham AFC in FIFA 23?

Yes, Wrexham does feature in FIFA 23, but you’ll need to do some digging in order to actually find them. Specifically, you’ll need to go to the ‘Rest of World’ region when selecting your team, and you’ll find Wrexham AFC here.

This is because the National League doesn’t actually feature as one of the English leagues in FIFA 23, and as such, technically they shouldn’t be in the game. However, due to the surge in popularity and interest of the team, EA Sports has added them as one of the ‘Rest of World’ teams. This was the case in FIFA 22, and it’s likely it’ll remain the same in the upcoming new release, too.

It’s worth noting that if Wrexham happened to win the Vanarama National League this season, then they’d be promoted into League 2, which may result in them then moving out of the ‘Rest of the World’ region in the subsequent FIFA 24 when the rosters and leagues are updated. We’re getting a little bit ahead of ourselves here, though, as there’s still a long way to go in the season.

You can follow the turbulent journey of ownership that McElhenney and Reynolds have embarked on via the ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ series from FX now available on Disney+.

That’s everything you need to know on whether or not you can play as Wrexham in FIFA 23. For more tips and tricks on the game, be sure to search for Twinfinite or check out more of our coverage on the game below.
