Xbox One – The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild
Nintendo’s newest console is nearly upon us and the hype is building for the legions of Zelda fans waiting to experience the latest chapter in this famed action/adventure title. The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild is set to possibly be one of the most important titles in this series’ history thanks to the rather dramatic shift to a fully realized open world to explore. Naturally, players from all walks of life will want to know if they play this title on their console of choice, such as the Xbox One.
Sadly, for those who are not purchasing a Switch you will be out of luck as The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild has no plans to come to Xbox One. This is primarily due to it being a first party title and Nintendo being very protective of their exclusive mascots. However, if you already own a Wii U, you will be able to play The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. This is due to Nintendo releasing both a Switch and Wii U version of the game, at the cost at a graphical downgrade for the latter.
If you own an Xbox One you will not receive a copy of The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild unless Nintendo decides to change their long-standing policy regarding first party titles in the future. The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild is set to release on March 3, 2017.
