Is There Cross-Play & Cross-Gen Support in NBA 2K23?

Unfortunately no, there is no cross-platform play in NBA 2K23. Despite EA games like FIFA recently promoting cross-promotional play, it seems that 2K is still a bit behind in this regard, as you can only play the game with people on the same system as you. On top of this, there is also no cross-gen support, meaning you won’t be able to play from PS4 to PS5 or Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S.

Is There Cross-Progression?

While NBA 2K23 may not have cross-platform play or cross-gen support, there is at least the silver lining of it having cross-progression. That means that if you have save data for your MyTeam or VC, then you’ll be able to transport them between console generations.

With that, it is important to note that you can only transfer this data between console generations. This means you can go from PS4 to PS5 or Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S, but not something like Xbox to Playstation or PC to Switch.

That is everything you need to know about if NBA 2K23 is cross-platform. If you’re still looking for more help, we’ve got guides on all the locker codes, how to fix error codes, and much more for the game all across Twinfinite.
