Crossplay is a feature that feels like it should be implemented in most modern fighting games whenever possible. Seeing as this game is coming to PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, you’re probably wondering whether or not you’ll be able to play Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles with friends through crossplay.
Is Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles Crossplay? Answered
Unfortunately, this fighting game doesn’t support crossplay functionality in any capacity. While this may be a desired option in all modern fighting games, it’s not as commonly implemented as one would expect. And it seems that no plans have been made to add crossplay functionality to Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles in the future.
There are ranked and casual game modes to play online, as well as Versus, which can be played locally, but these modes can only be played with others who are on the same platform as you.
Certain games like Street Fighter V and Mortal Kombat 11 do support crossplay, but other popular fighters like Guilty Gear Strive, Soul Calibur 6, Tekken 7, and Dragon Ball FighterZ don’t have the option at the time of writing.
It may not be the most positive news, but there you have it. There currently isn’t any kind of crossplay feature in Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles. Be sure to search Twinfinite for more news on the game, including gameplay trailers, upcoming free DLC content, and Story Mode teasers.
