Astral Chain from PlatinumGames has been the apple of many eyes since its Nintendo Direct announcement back in February with PC players hotly anticipating its release later this year in August. Will Astral Chain Be Coming to PC? We’ve Got That Question Answered

With its cyberpunk aesthetic and the action-oriented combat PlatinumGames has come to be known for, players will soon be able to take on the role of Neuron task force agents who are tasked with taking on extradimensional beings known as Chimeras.

Because the game was announced during a Nintendo Direct last February, fans have been wondering if they’ll get to play this game on PC. In short, the answer seems to be no.

That’s because, to the demise of Xbox One, PS4, and PC players, Astral Chain is a Switch exclusive. This means that the only way you’ll be able to play this game is by doing so on a Nintendo Switch.

Is there hope for an Astral Chain port to PC at a later date? Sure, because we’ll never say never, but it seems very unlikely.

Considering it has been in multiple Nintendo Directs at this point, and even showcased during the 2019 E3 Nintendo Treehouse stream, which you can view below, we don’t expect Nintendo to relinquish its grip on this title in the future.

From what we’ve learned of Astral Chain so far, we know that the game will feature multiple characters that you, the player, will be able to rotate between during gameplay.

Each character will have a different fighting style and will need to be used strategically to take down some of the game’s more challenging enemies.

The goal of these characters, who are members of the police task force known as Neuron, is to save The Ark, which is the cyberpunk city the game is set in.

That’s all you need to know about whether or not Astral Chain is coming to PC. If something changes and the Switch exclusive does end up releasing on other platforms, we will make sure to update this article accordingly.
