This will involve making progress in both Blaidd’s questline as well as Ranni’s, with the latter being the whole thing that brings everything full circle.

  1. Finish the questlines of both Blaidd and Ranni.

There are many steps to this, and will require progress made in the main storyline as well. It will involve the defeating of Bloodhound Knight Darriwil, opening access to Ranni’s Rise, defeating Starscrouge Radahn, and clearing the Cathedral of Manus Celes. Refer to our quest guides for both Blaidd and Ranni for the full details.

  2. Head back to Ranni’s Rise.

With all the hard work done, it is time to face Blaidd for a final showdown. Head back to Ranni’s Rise to find your former ally who has since turned hostile.

  3. Defeat Blaidd.

Keeping your distance with sorcery or incantations will work wonders against Blaidd, and summoning allies will keep him busy. Time your attacks well, especially with jump attacks, and he should go down without too much of a fuss.

  4. Claim your reward.

After defeating Blaidd, you will be rewarded with the Royal Greatsword, along with Blaidd’s Armor, Gauntlets, and Greaves.
