What Is The Strange Key Used For In Destiny 2?

Obtaining the Strange Key is one of many steps in the Magnum OPs questline where the end goal is to obtain the Exotic Sidearm, Forerunner. Halo fans will smile upon completion as the Forerunner greatly resembles the Magnum Pistol from the Halo games.

Once you acquire the Strange Key, your next objective will be to head to the valley area in the Treasure Hoard (it’s the area behind where you spawn). You’ll have to do a rigorous jumping puzzle to obtain the Anomalous Object. After securing the Anomalous Object, head back to Banshee at the Tower to then claim your new Exotic Sidearm, Forerunner.
