The Point-Contact Cannon Brace Titan gauntlets are one of the exotics introduced as part of Destiny 2’s Season of Plunder. The new season is all about pirates… or space pirates, or whatever the Guardian equivalent of our normal sea shanty-chanting scurvy dogs is. Chances are then, you’re wondering what you need to know to add these shiny new gauntlets into your collection.
How to Get Point-Contact Cannon Brace in Destiny 2
The Point-Contact Cannon Brace exotic can only be obtained by completing a Legendary or Master Lost Sector when the reward is exotic gauntlets.
The Legendary or Master Lost Sector rotates each day between all of the available ones in the game, and with each new rotation, a new type of exotic armor (armor slot) is made up for grabs. For example, the Bunker E15 Lost Sector is currently the Legendary/ Master Lost Sector and is awarding exotic helmets to those that complete it.
The Legendary/ Master Lost Sector changes every day at 10am PT/ 1pm ET/ 6pm GMT. You can check what Lost Sector is currently Legendary/ Master and what rewards it’s offering via TodayInDestiny, or by searching through each planet’s maps and looking for that telltale purple shield icon.
As such, you’ll want to wait until the Legendary/ Master Lost Sector is offering exotic gauntlets as a reward. It’s also worth noting that you’re not guaranteed to get Point-Contact Cannon Brace as your exotic gauntlets even when it is the reward. The only time it will be a guaranteed drop is if you have all other exotic Titan gauntlets in the game already.
Point-Contact Cannon Brace Perk Explained
Point-Contact Cannon Brace’s perk is ‘Hammer of the Gods.’ This causes you to restore melee energy whenever you defeat an enemy with the Thunderclap melee.
Any enemies near you when you use Thunderclap will also be hit with lightning strikes. If you’re amplified, this further increases the range of the lightning strikes, too.
