All you have to do is download the Pokemon Pass app on your iPhone or Android and head to a Best Buy store between November 4–14, 2019. Doing so will earn you a download code that can be used to redeem Mewtwo in your Let’s Go game.

Once you have the code, follow these steps:

Time needed: 5 minutes

  1. Launch your Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! game.

  2. Select Communicate on the main menu.

  3. Select Mystery Gifts.

  4. Select Get with code/password, then select Yes to save your game and connect to the internet.

  5. Enter your code.

  6. Watch as the gift arrives in your game.

The gift Mewtwo will arrive at level 70 and will know the moves Amnesia, Psychic, Teleport, and Recover. There doesn’t seem to be anything special about this Mewtwo, so it probably serves as a reminder to pre-order Pokemon Sword and Shield, which release on Nov. 15.

Earlier this year, The Pokemon Company used the Pokemon Pass app to bring shiny Pikachu and shiny Eevee to the Let’s Go games, so it’s possible that we will see future promotions with this app after Sword and Shield launch.

That does it for how to get a free Mewtwo for Pokemon Let’s Go at Best Buy. If you are excited to learn more about the upcoming Sword and Shield, you can check out a list of every Gigantamax Pokemon that has been revealed so far.
