Fixing Destiny 2’s Tower Not Loading Issue

Since the start of Season of the Haunted, players have been reporting getting a black screen while traveling and loading into the Tower. This can happen whenever you open the Director and select the Tower, and the game just gives you a black screen after your ship is shown to be flying in for a while.

At the time of writing, Bungie has yet to officially put out a fix or a patch to address this issue. However, there is a potential workaround. Whenever you’re stuck on the black screen, you can bring up the Director and try selecting the Tower again to force it to load.

Do be warned that by doing this, the NPC models won’t load into the game. You’ll still be able to interact with them by locating their nameplates, you just won’t be able to see them. Not an ideal situation, but it’ll work if you really need to get stuff done at the Tower.

There is also a more pressing issue in Destiny 2 at the moment, which can arise when you’re interacting with Banshee-44. Speaking with the Exo may cause the game to crash entirely, and Bungie has already stated that they’re currently looking into this error.

This won’t happen to everyone, but just be aware that it might pop up for you every now and then.

That’s all the answers we can provide for now regarding the Tower not loading issue in Destiny 2. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more tips and information on the game.
