How to Get to Solaceon Ruins

First off, head on over to Solaceon Town, to the east of Hearthome City. Go to the north end of the town and turn right just before exiting onto Route 210. There’s a narrow path behind a building in town that leads to a location full of trees and ledges to jump down.

Run all the way to the right, then start jumping down the ledges. Continue down until you see a cave opening — that’s the entrance to the Solaceon Ruins.

Ruin Maniac Side Quest & Catching Unown

This is where you need to go to catch Unown, which is necessary to complete the Pokedex, and also finish up the Ruin Maniac side quest. You’ll get this quest after speaking to the Ruin Maniac found in the Ruin Maniac Cave on Route 214. That cave is also where you find TM28 Dig.

Ruin Maniac Cave

The Ruin Maniac challenges you to catch all 26 Unown before he can finish expanding his cave, which means that it’ll grow as you catch more Unown. The game won’t keep track of which Unown you’ve caught since they all fall under the same Pokedex entry. Keep track of them yourself and return to the Ruin Maniac once you’ve caught them all to complete the quest.
