How to Get the Cassette in Stray

When it comes to progressing in Stray, it takes more than just being a cute cat slinking around town and nuzzling up to friendly robots. You’ll also have to carry out some tasks and complete some puzzles before the way is opened for you. One of the quests found in the game requires the finding of a cassette, a rare item both in the game and in real life. For those in need of help when it comes to getting the cassette in Stray, you are in the right place.

Stray Cassette Location

You will discover this conundrum in Midtown, where a cassette player found in the back room of a clothing store is missing a cassette. In order to find this vital item in Stray, follow these steps:

  1. Visit Clementine’s area of residence. This is a block of apartments with three separate levels.

Here, on the ground floor, you will find a robot named Simon sitting beside two others.

  2. Talk to Simon.

They will request that you destroy the three security cameras in the area.

  3. Destroy the cameras.

You will find a camera on each floor, simply jump up onto the nearby ledge and then jump onto one to loosen it. Jumping off will then cause it to break. The cameras will fall to the floor and be destroyed.

  4. Claim your prize.

Head back to the AI and receive your reward.

With the cassette in your possession, you can now head back to the cassette player and slot it in. This will be an important step if you hope to gather the worker jacket and helmet for the next section. In turn, these are used to gain entrance to the Neco Corporation Factory.

That is all there is to it when it comes to getting the cassette in Stray. For more on the futuristic cat game, check out how long it will take to beat it or scope out all of the trophies/achievements in Stray. For everything else, please search Twinfinite.
