Evolving Electabuzz into Electivire in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl

To evolve Electabuzz into Electivire, you need to trade Electabuzz while it’s holding an Electrizer.

When you do, once the trade has completed, Electabuzz will immediately evolve. If you want your Pokemon back, you’ll need to get them to trade it back, so we recommend doing this with a trusted friend.

However, both Electabuzz and its previous evolution, Elekid are exclusive to Pokemon Brilliant Diamond, and so those playing Shining Pearl will need to get someone to trade with them.

Getting Elekid

As noted, both Elekid and Electabuzz are exclusive to Pokemon Brilliant Diamond.

Elekid can be found in the following locations:

  • Stargleam Cavern
  • Snow Cave
  • Glacial Cavern
  • Crystal Cave

Elekid has a 5% chance of holding the Electrizer item you’ll need to equip to a Electabuzz when trading to make it evolve into Electivire in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl.

Elekid evolves into Electabuzz at Level 30. You can use EXP Share to help you level it up faster, as well as Rare Candies.

That’s everything you need to know on how to evolve Electabuzz into Electivire in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. For more of our guides, head over to our wiki or see more of our coverage on the game below.
